FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LIU Post Full-time Faculty Pass No-Confidence Resolution against President Cline Brookville, NY – September 13, 2016 – In an emergency full-time faculty meeting on September 8, 2016, the faculty at LIU Post passed a no-confidence resolution against LIU President Kimberly Cline. This no-confidence resolution highlights concerns of the faculty related to the negative impact on campus services and the university’s reputation as a result of President Cline’s handling of contract negotiations with the LIU Brooklyn faculty. In what may be the first time in the history of education in the United States, a well-established faculty union was locked out. In addition, since President Cline’s arrival, LIU Post has seen a significant decline in student enrollment, unprecedented firings of personnel, and ineffectual management of the institution.
