Fourteen versions of this letter were just sent to regional and program accreditors to alert them to the “urgent accreditation issues” that arise from their lockout of the entire Brooklyn faculty. An excerpt: “A lockout of the faculty is unprecedented in the history of US higher education. LIU’s decision to use administrators and others who do not meet your accrediting standards to replace qualified faculty undermines LIU’s educational mission and operation…Administrators’ extraordinary actions have left the faculty no other choice but to alert you of this extremely regrettable situation.” Times fourteen.
