Dear LIUFF Member, Welcome to the faculty and to the LIUFF Adjunct Guide! We are thrilled to announce the web production of these materials and thank both Electa Brown and Linda Lopez for spearheading this effort.  What was first imagined as a physical binder that could be produced for every faculty member has now become an online resource that we can add to and update dynamically as needed.  We further envision moving towards an App that can be downloaded.  Stay tuned to check back on these efforts. Teaching at LIU is a rewarding experience. Our students come from every corner of the globe and represent every facet of our society. Fall 2019- LIUFF President Welcome...

Dear Colleagues, Happy Labor Day!   Welcome back to the 2019 fall term.  The LIUFF leadership began anew this June with an invigorated executive committee.  We have already begun our important work to address the LIUFF Trust Fund for adjunct healthcare and to form an election committee.  LIUFF will be running an election this month to fill vacant officer positions (Grievance and Vice President). While vigilantly enforcing our collectively bargained contract this summer we have successfully fought the Administration on several fronts.  These include: 1.Stopping the Administration from instituting yet another iteration of a workload policy prorating full-time and adjunct faculty pay based on the # of students in a class.  The Administration has admitted this policy is unenforceable.   They stood down.  We won! 2.Stopping the Administration from advertising faculty positions in the...

Executive Committee Ballot Download and print this ballot: EC Election Ballot 2018 Below are the candidates for the School of Education and School of Nursing Executive Committee Representatives. This is a special election to fill open positions. The candidates will be serving out the term that ends May 31, 2019.
